A Home-Grown Season Opener
The Brewers, led by head coach Ryan Mee, will kick off their season with a bang, hosting the Hochberg Family Tip-Off tournament on November 14-15. But here's where it gets interesting: they won't be traveling far for the first month! Most of their games will be right in the Mid-Hudson region, giving local fans a chance to cheer them on.

The Hochberg Family Tip-Off tournament will see the Brewers take on SUNY Geneseo on Friday, followed by a match against either Colby-Sawyer or Hartford on Saturday. It's a great opportunity for the team to showcase their skills and set the tone for the season.
A Classic Clash
Vassar will then participate in the Hudson Valley Classic on November 21-22, facing off against Mount Saint Mary and SUNY New Paltz. This classic tournament is a must-watch for any basketball enthusiast, as it brings together some of the region's best teams.
League Battles
As the season progresses, the Brewers will dive into some intense Liberty League contests. They'll face off against Ithaca, Hobart, and Skidmore in December, with each game promising to be a thrilling battle. The team's senior weekend will be a special occasion, as they take on Union and Rochester Institute of Technology in February.
A Season of Success
Under Coach Mee's guidance, the Vassar men's basketball team has achieved remarkable success. They finished third in the Liberty League in both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, with impressive records of 18-9 and 16-10, respectively. This achievement earned Mee and his coaching staff the Liberty League coaching staff of the year award.
A Talented Roster
The team is returning a strong roster this season, with a dozen players from last year's squad. This includes three rising seniors and eight rising juniors, among them the talented Shea Fitzgerald and Avery Lee, who were both first-team Liberty League all-stars.
